The invention relates to an automatic positioning device for three-dimensional tissue cutting, in a live or fixed tissue sample, characterised in that it comprises at least: a platform (1) for depositing the tissue samples; an electromechanical subsystem comprising at least a first motor (2) and first mechanical means that move the platform (1) in an angular manner; and a second motor (3) and second mechanical means that incline the platform (1). The invention also relates to a vibratome comprising said positioning device, and to the use thereof in histology, anatomy, neuroscience, biochemistry or pharmacology.
