Monitorización de niveles de metales pesados y compuestos organoclorados en peces de las Tablas de Daimiel: evaluación para sus consumidores

Abstract

Se estudiaron los niveles de metales pesados de Arsénico (As), Cadmio (Cd), Cobre (Cu), Mercurio (Hg), Plomo (Pb) y contaminantes orgánicos persistentes (compuestos organoclorados (COPs) y bifenilos policlorados (PCBs)) en el Parque Nacional de las Tablas de Daimiel (Ciudad Real, España) en tejidos de músculos de cinco especies de peces: pez rojo o carpín (Carassius auratus, n=5); carpa común (Cyprinus carpio, n=89); cacho (Squalius pyrenaicus, n=16); pez gato negro (Ameiurus melas, n=9); pez sol (Lepomis gibbosus, n=8); perca americana (Micropterus salmoides, n=6). A. melas presentó los niveles más altos de Hg mientras que S. pyrenaicus tuvo la mayor concentración para Pb. En cuanto a los COPs analizados, los niveles más altos que se encontraron fueron para p,p’-DDE (3,26 ng/g), PCB #153 (0,87 ng/g). C. carpio fue positivo para todos los compuestos encontrados. Se detectaron concentraciones que no superaron los límites máximos permitidos por la legislación europea en ninguna de las especies analizadas tanto para metales pesados como contaminantes orgánicos persistentes. Se observó que a medida que las especies presentan una mayor talla, acumulan mayores concentraciones en el caso del Hg y COPs. Los resultados de esta investigación no sugieren la existencia de ningún riesgo grave para la salud humana por el consumo de estas especies, sí que recomendable vigilar las fuentes de Pb y otros contaminantes estudiar si dicha fuente proviene de la munición citada en este estudio, para controlar la disponibilidad de estos en el ambiente y la pasibilidad de que en un futuro pueda ser un riesgo para la salud.
