[ES]: El Plutón de Cabeza de Araya es el principal exponente del batolito de Extremadura Central. Las edades obtenidas para este batilito daban una edad de cristalización entre 302-303 Ma. Un muestreo de las facies principales del batolito de Cabeza Araya ha permitido obtener una secuencia de emplazamiento con edades obtenidas mediante SHRIMP desde los 308±1.5 Ma a los 305±2 Ma para las tres facies principales. La facies E, denominada como ortogneis de Garrovillas arroja una edad de 296 ± 3 Ma. Esta diferencia de edad entre el cuerpo principal y esta unidad se propone que puede deberse a dos hipótesis diferentes: A) se trata de un pulso magmático diferente, siendo su edad similar a otros intrusivos del área de Extremadura central o B) Se trata del reflejo de un evento tectonotérmico que ha superado la temperatura de cierre del circón y estaría relacionado con la deformación que parecen mostrar las rocas de esta facies.
[EN]: Cabeza de Araya pluton is the main exponent of Central Extremadura batholith. Previous crystallization ages for this batholith gave an age between 302-303 Ma. A sampling of the main facies of the Cabeza de Araya pluton has led to a sequential agesof emplacement, obtained by SHRIMP, from 308 ± 1.5 Ma to 305 ± 2 Ma for the three main facies. Facies E, known as orthogneiss of Garrovillas has an age of 296 ± 3 Ma This difference between the main body and this unit is proposed that can be caused by two different hypotheses. A) it is a different magmatic pulse, being its age similar to other intrusive on the region (e.g. La Alberca, Mérida) or B) This age is the reflection of a tectonothermal event that has passed the closure temperature of zircon system and would be related to the deformation that seem to show the rocks of this facies.
