Abstract

[ES] Se describe por primera vez Epidamaeus ibericus sp. n., especie encontrada en musgos, hojarasca y suelo de diversos bosques, tanto caducifolios (hayedos) como esclerófilos y perennifolios (eucaliptales y pinares, respectivamente), del norte de España. Sus principales características son: dimensiones de la hembra 570-660 jan de longitud por 354-410 ttm de anchura, y macho 491-580 ttrn de longitud por 290-350 j.tm de anchura; espinas adnatas muy pequeñas; un par de apófisis prodorsales (Da); apófisis S2 con aspecto de tubérculo con ápice cuadrangular y sensilo flagelado; quetotaxia femoral (I-IV) 7-6-5-5; quetotaxia tarsal 20(2)-179(2)-17-14.

[EN] Epidamaeus ibericus sp. n. is described from northern Spain. This species has been found in moss, litter and soil from deciduous (beech tree) and non-deciduous (eucalyptus and pine trees) forests. Its main features are: female body length 570-660 jan, width 354-410 !,tm and male body length 491-580 ttin, width 290-350 p.rn; very small notogastral spinae adnatae; one pair of prodorsal apophysis (Da); apophysis S2 as a tubercle with a square apex and flagellate sensillus; femoral setation (I to IV) 7-6-5-5; tarsal setation 20(2)-17(2)-17-14.
