Revisión del género Heliopathes mulsant, 1854 (Col. Tenebrionidae). 4: grupo de H. lusitanicus (Herbst, 1797)

Abstract

[EN] The study of the genus Heliopathes Mulsant, 1854 is concluded with the revision of the H. lusitanicus (Herbst, 1797) species group, special to the western Mediterranean region. A species key is given and the following synonymies are proposed: H. lusitanicus (Herbst, 1797) = H. franzi Español, 1955, syn. nov., H. rex (Antoine, 1942) = H. rectangularis (Antoine, 1950), syn. nov. and H. atlasicus (Escalera, 1925) = H. altiatlantis (Antoine, 1936), syn. nov. The group is composed by seven well defined species distributed in the Iberian Peninsula, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
