Efecto anti-inflamatorio de extractos de harina de algarroba y alga wakame in vitro

Abstract

[Introducción]: Algunas hipótesis sobre la etilogía del Síndrome Metabólico (SMet) consideran como punto de partida la cronificación de un patrón inflamatorio, dado que esta puede conducir al desarrollo de la resistencia a la insulina y/o enfermedad cardiovascular. Debido a los efestos secundarios de los medicamentos disponibles en la actualidad para el tratamiento del SMet, así como a su limitada eficacia, en las últimas décadas el potencial de productos naturales ha despertado un gran interés en la investigación científica. Dentro de los alimentos con potencial efecto frente a la inflamación y sus comorbilidades se encuentran las algas y legumbres.
