Els europeus circumnaveguen el continent africà i arriben a noves terres que amb el temps anomenarien Amèrica. La primera expansió atlàntica és un fet de conseqüències importants. Els principals ports del sud i el llevant ibèrics, i els seus mercats d'esclaus, s'enriqueixen amb noves llengües i colors.
