Patentes "verdes" españolas solicitadas en la Oficina Europea de Patentes: características y cambios de propiedad

Abstract

España cuenta con un 1.2% del total de las patentes en tecnologías medio ambientalels (patentes “verdes”) solicitadas a nivel mundial (2008-2010), lo que la sitúa dentro del Top-20 en términos mundiales y en novena posición a nivel europeo. El análisis presentado en este artículo muestra que de las 1276 solicitudes europeas de patentes españolas registradas en la Oficina de Patentes Europea (EPO) entre 1979 y 2013, un 13% han registrado cambios de propiedad antes de ser eventualmente concedidas y validadas en los estados miembros de la Convención Europea de Patentes designados por el solicitante. El sector más dinámico, tanto para la generación de patentes como para los cambios de propiedad registrados en EPO, es el de las energías renovables. Sin embargo, al igual que en otros países, la mayoría de las transferencias se producen entre compañías pertenecien tes al mismo grupo empresarial.
