Abstract

[EN] This work analyzes some forms to deal with the study of the clinic histories as a source for the history of the psychiatry. From those based on Pedro Laín`s proposals focused in the «exemplary case» that allows to locate the pathographies within the framework of the medical thinking and the «mentalities», to the use of the clinic histories in other historiographic fields, as the social history, the history of the institutions or the conceptual history of the psychiatry.
