Precipitación de arsénico desde efluentes metalúrgicos

Abstract

En el ámbito minero-metalúrgico, se producen diferentes efluentes líquidos los cuales pueden contener una serie de elementos disueltos que son considerados peligrosos desde un punto de vista ambiental. Uno de estos elementos peligrosos es el arsénico, especialmente en el estado de oxidación +5, que puede precipitarse como arseniato de calcio o de hierro. Para cumplir con los requerimientos ambientales, se debe dejar en disolución un contenido de arsénico inferior a 0,5 mg/1 y el producto sólido obtenido debe ser muy estable bajo la condición en la cual se quiere almacenar. Este trabajo busca las mejores condiciones de precipitación de arsénico hasta lograr contenidos en disolución inferiores al señalado anteriormente. Asimismo, se estudia la estabilidad de los precipitados obtenidos.
