[EN] Dung-beetles Scarabaeoidea of a spring-summer community of the grass-land of the Biological Station of El Ventorrillo (Cercedilla —Madrid—) is studied. T wo thousand six hundred eighty eight specimens belonging to •forty species collected in cow and horse dung were reviewed : ten belonging to the family- Scarabaeidae, twenty seven to the family Aphodiidae and three to the family Geotrupidae. Finally, some considerations about the richness, abundance and diversity of this community are explained. The authors conclude that these three parameters reach their largest values within the second half of the spring (may-j une) and in covv- dung. These data allowed the planning of a latter study of the differential effectiveness of several pitfall traps for these beetles.
