[ES] Se describe por vez primera Mediintorda batteni nov. sp. de la región centro-occidental peninsular. Asimismo se aportan nuevos datos sobre el área de dispersión en España de Mediimorda bipunctata GERM., que junto con batteni nov. sp. constituyen las únicas especies de Mediintorda presentes en nuestro país. Se examinan el resto de especies hasta ahora conocidas de dicho género, comentándose las peculiaridades de su distribución.

[EN] For the first time Mediimorda batteni nov. sp. from the west-central region of the Iberian Peninsula is described. At the same time, are given new data about the diffusion area of Mediimorda bipunctata GERM. in Spain, which is, beside M. batteni nov. sp. the only one species current in our Country. All the species of this genus, known until now, are studied, and pointing out its specific distribution.
