Abstract

[EN] A new species of the genus Folsomia is described from Navarra, the name makes reference to cuticular sculpture. Measurements: Length : the mean of 18 males, 532.5 microns the mean of 20 females , 618.7 microns Description: Dorsal view with 6 segments, two toracics and four abdominals. IV-VI abdominal segments fused, fourth (IV) antenal segment with a subterminal sensory papilla and a guard hair, and eight sensitive cilindrical hairs few differenciated, third antenal segment vvith 2 short curved rods and two subcilindrical guard hairs. Postantenal organ larger than the antenae bases and 3 times larger than the diagonal of the fore eye. Two eyes, the fore one near the postantenal organ, the lind one at four diameters from the fore eye. The fore eye bigg-er than the lind one. Claw without inner tooth, empodial appendage reaches 1/2 to 2/3 of the internal side of the claw. Ventral tube with 3 + 3 anterior, medial hairs and 3 + 3 posterior dista! hairs. Tenaculum with 4 + 4 teeth and 1 setae in the corpus, manubrium with 1 + 1 anterior setae. Dens with 5 + 5 anterior seta and 4 posterior hairs. Muero with two teeth. Folsornia type. Male genital pore rounded with a crown of 9 exterior seta and another interior crown of 6 seta. Female genital pore with 2 valvas and with the following chaetotaxia : 3 + 3 anterior seta, 1 medial impar setae and 3 + 3 posterior seta.
