[EN] The quantitative distribution of some animáis, inhabitants of tlie rocky shore of Blanes (NE. Spain) is given according to exposition of stations (Tables I-IV) and in general (fig. 1). Patella lusitanica and Gibbula umbilicaris prefer the places exposed to the beating of waves, Chthamalus stellatus and Littorina neritoides have similar, but more marked, preferences. Patella coerulea prefers the less agited waters. A biometric study of Patella coemlea shows: a) an increase of the indices of flatness along growth, in relation with médium conditions; b) the excentricity índex is nearly constant, but reveáis some tendence to variation with growth, in a sense that is dependent of depth; c) the relation between length and wide of the shell remains nearly constant; d) the increase of flesh weigth relatively to the increase in shell weigth is superior in the places where food is plentiful. (Figs. 2-6.) Patella lusitanica and P. coemlea may be easily separed on the basis of their metric characters.
