[EN] Water-analysis interpretation in terms of the relationships among ionic constituents for the Ebro river at Pignatalli and Zaragoza and also for its tributaires, the Arba at Gallur and the Jalón at Grisén, in the Tudela-Zaragoza reach, allowed to draw conclusions concerning the geological materials which originate the predominant ions. In addition, scanned samplings of the main river showed that the ionic composition of the salt loading varies all along the reach. The mechanism by which salts derived from the natural sources identified in the watershed of the reach incorporate to the streamflow, either directly or through the alluvium, are also discussed.
