Abstract

[EN] In the precedent pages are resumed the meteorological data from the harbour of Castellón (Eastern coast of Spain) for 1949 and 3950, and data on the temperature of superficial waters, in relation with fisheries. Schools of pilchards appear in the Coastal waters when temperature of water reaches 14° C, and becomes abundant between 18 and 20° C. Number of pilchards decreases by 25º C. and disappear when temperature is below 14º C. Reappearance of pilchards in the coast, in march 1951, has taken place under a temperature of 13,9° C.
