Abstract

[EN] A list is given olr about 80 speeies of fresh-water algae found in the samples collected, by E. Bálcells, the julv of 1947, in the «Laguna de Ariguanabo», a shallow body of water, with dense vegetation of vascular plants, lying 20 Km. SW. from La Habana (Cuba). Numerous Cyanophvceae, Euglenineae and Chlorophycease indícate a P-, N- and Fe-eutrophic water, and the speeies of Desmidiaceae suggest a not too high pH. The great majority of speeies are cosmopolitan, although a few are tropical (Calothrix wembaer ensis, Scyfonema coactile var. minor) or american (Calothrix colamlriana, Euastrinn que- becense, Cosmarium dentatum, Cosmarium anguiare). When compared whith more nordic populations of the same speeies, the Cuban specimens are found commonly to bee slighty smaller. [...] Eicchornia crassipes, Nelumbo pentapetala, Nymphaea alba, Cladium jamaicense, Eleocharis interstincta, Scirpus validas, Ceratophyllum demersum, Potamogetón malaianus, Utricularia foliosa, Thalia geniculata, Salix occidentalis, Typha dominguensis, Eicchornia, Ceratophyllum, Utricularia, Chara, Trachelomonas, Eunotia, Anisonema pinguis, Amphora lineolata?, Cosmarium biretum, Mastogloia Smithi, Calothrix wembaerensis, Scytonema coactile var. minor, Calothrix columbiana, Euastrum quebecense, Cosmarium dentatum, Cosmarium anguiare, Cyanophyceae, Protomastigineae, Euglenineae, Dinoflagellatae, Bacillariophyta, Heterocontae, Euchlorophyceae, Conjugatae, Charophyta [...]
