Abstract

[EN] A new specie of Collembola, Friesea steineni nov. sp. collected in the soils of Spain is described. It dif fers from other species: F. reducta, F. reducta bonariensis and F. africana whicli have the same as it eight eyes on each side of head, anal spines, furcula and tenaculum absent, by the shape of the bristles on the sixth abdominal segment and by the tibiotarsal hairs.
