Abstract

El departamento de manuscritos de la Biblioteca Británica guarda una de las mayores colecciones de mapas y escritos referentes a las antiguas posesiones españolas existentes fuera de la península ibérica. Se trata de la denominada «Colección Bauzá (Add. MSS 17556-17676). Esta debe su nombre al célebre marino y cartógrafo que reunió a lo largo de su vida los materiales que hoy la componen.
