Abstract

Mi propósito es comentar las relaciones entre el análisis factorial y otras interpretaciones de fenómenos o situaciones naturales complicadas, que comparten representaciones plásticas comunes. Podemos partir de una representación que tiene considerable atractivo para el biólogo, y consiste en que cada entidad biológica (taxones, comunidades) corresponde a un punto situado en un hiperespacio, cuyas distintas dimensiones corresponden a otras tantas variables que caracterizan a aquella entidad.
