Abstract

- El rango de hospedadores es clave en la ecología y evolución de los parásitos: parásitos especialistas vs generalistas. - Los animales seleccionan los recursos en base al impacto de éstos en su eficacia biológica. Sin embargo, en muchos parásitos se ha observado consecuencias negativas de tal selección. - Tal desacuerdo puede surgir porque los diferentes estadios vitales tienen diferentes requerimientos y niveles de especialización. - En el estudio del rango de hospedadores de los parásitos, los requisitos de las fases no infectivas son ignorados
