Actividad citotóxica del éter-lípido edelfosina en células de cáncer de hígado

Abstract

[ES]La edelfosina es un ?ter-l?pido de las familia de los l?pidos antitumorales, que presenta actividad apopt?tica y antitumoral en diversos tipos de c?ncer. Ha sido ampliamente estudiada en diversos organismos tales como levaduras y par?sitos, mostrando una elevada actividad antiparasitaria. En nuestro estudio se determin? la actividad citot?xica que presentaba la edelfosina en distintas l?neas de c?ncer de h?gado. Se ha observado que distintas v?as de se?alizaci?n se han visto implicadas en el efecto de la edelfosina sobre las l?neas de c?ncer hep?tico, tales como MAPKs y AKT, que son importantes en la progresi?n del c?ncer. La edelfosina tambien mostr? un elevado efecto apopt?tico en condiciones alteradas de ox?geno como la hipoxia, aunque se observaron fen?menos de resistencia en distintas l?neas celulares. Las c?lulas stem tambi?n se han visto afectadas por el ?ter-l?pido generando muerte apopt?tica en la side population de c?ncer de h?gado obtenida a partir de distintas l?neas celulares. Se han llevado a cabo estudios bioinform?ticos preliminares en las c?lulas stem hep?ticas para determinar el efecto de la edelfosina, y se han identificado distintos genes sobreexpresados, entre ellos, genes de resistencia a f?rmacos, as? como genes transportadores de membrana, los cuales se han visto altamente expresados en c?lulas stem.
