[EN] This article analyses the project for the loggetta or cavalcavia of the director of the Real Colegio de España in Bologna proposed by Angiolo Mazzoni (1922) in the context of the debates of the contemporary Italian architecture and the institutional history of Albornoz’s foundation. This contributes to deepen our knowledge about the Bolognese period of the architect, who later became one of the leading representatives of Futurism. His project is compared to the final one, by Alberto Gambini (1927), and other works in the same context such as the ‘votive chapel’ to the Cardinal Albornoz and the Casa Cervantes, both designed by Gambini.
