[EN] The identification of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) populations based on morphological characteristics is often subject to errors caused by changes in the environmental conditions, so that molecular markers as isoenzymes could provide an appropriate method for characterization of populations. Starch-gel electrophoresis was employed on primary leaves to study the differences between the isozyme patterns of 66 Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) varieties.
