[EN] Thirty-eight common bean landraces (Phaseolus vulgaris) from Northern Spain have been evaluated in two different environments in Pontevedra and Pravia (Asturias) during 1989 on the basis of several quantitative traits concerning fresh pod, dry seed and yield, in order to establish different types and uses of landraces and to incorporate some of them to breeding programs in future. Cluster analysis and principal component analysis showed that is possible to classify these landraces into four groups, two of them including landraces with good quality of fresh pod and dry seed respectively.
