[EN] Twenty—six varieties of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) originated from North of Portugal were evaluated in Pontevedra (Northwest of Spain) with seven testers for pod characters in a ramdomised completely design. The confidence statements of each character were calculated to determine which varieties are the best ones. Moreover was carried out the taxonomic classification; establishing four groups, the third one including most of the testers and four landraces, which we could consider appropriated for fresh pod consumption.
