El comercio canario-americano (siglos XVI, XVII y XVIII)

Abstract

Este comercio de la América, siempre precario para nuestras islas, y siempre limitado a frutos, puertos y tiempos; a número, peso y medida"; este comercio, repetimos nosotros, es el que intenta analizar nuestra monografía. Comercio que va desde el siglo XVI al XIX. Que tiene por actores a los habitantes del archipiélago canario, a los consumidores indianos y a los obstaculizadores peninsulares. Y que cuenta como escenario de acción a las siete Islas y al mar Atlántico que las une con el Nuevo Mundo, mercado de absorción.
