Abstract

El interés extraordinario que en estos últimos años han despertado los trabajos relacionados con la pesca de las especies de interés comercial, debido principalmente a las necesidades de la industria con ella relacionada, por una parte, y por otra, con el vertiginoso descenso de la producción pesquera, dieron lugar a que también en nuestra Patria se vigorizaran estos estudios que lan adelantados se hallan en muchos de los demás paises; tanto más cuarito que en España la pesca constituye una de las mayores fuentes de la riqueza naciorial. Quizás una de las especies de la que podría sacarse mayor rendimiento y que constituye una buena parte de nuestra producción pesquera es la caballa, Scomber scombrus L, a la que se une el Scomber colias, que también se llama caballa en algunas regiones de España.
