The research project on the Beagle Channel Northern Coast has been leaded since 1987 by a Spanish-Argentine team from Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (both from Spain), Centro Austral de Investigaciones Científicas (CONICET) and Asociación de Investigaciones Antropológicas (both from Argentine) respectivelvy. This frame two main lines/projects: 1) "ARCHEAEOLOGICAL CONTRAST OF THE ETHNOGRAPHIC IMAGE OF THE MAGELLAN-FUEGIAN CANOERS IN THE NORTHERN COAST OF THE BEAGLE CHANEL", carried out from 1987 to 1994, and 2) "MARINE RESOURCES AT THE BEAGLE CHANNEL REGION PRIOR TO THE INDUSTRIAL EXPLOTATION: AN ARCHAEOLOGICAL EVALUATION" a triannual project started in 1994.
