Die ersten freilebenden Scirtothrips-Arten aus Europa

Abstract

Am 18.10.1956 sammelte cand. rer. nat. Walther Traut für mich in Barialbufar, Mallorca, Thysanopteren von einer (nicht weiter bestimmten) Ericacee. Seine Probe T.4125 wies —neben einem Männchen Sericothrips gracilicornis Williams, 19 'Weibchen von Thrips major Uzel, einem Weibchen Thrips tabaci Lindeman— ein Scirtothrips2Weibchen auf, das, leider schlecht erhalten und im Präparat auf der Seite liegend, sich nicht weiter bestimmen liess. Das ist das Stück, das H. Priesner (1964, p. 45) irrtümlich von Montpellier erwähnt. Ich schickte es ihm am 11.8.1957 und er äusserte sich dazu brieflich am 18.9.1957. Damit stand fest, dass in Südeuropa auch mit freilebenden Scirtothrips- Arten zu rechnen sei.
