Abstract

El género Megaihopa Eschsch., 1822, perteneciente a la subtribu de los Canthonicles, es de distribución neotropical, abarcando su área desde la península de Yucatán, en México (M. yucateca Har.), al Norte, a la región austral de Chile y Argentina (M. villosa Eschsch.), por el Sur.
