El genero Trymosternus chaudoir.

Abstract

En el año 1825 Dejean, en su obra titulada «Species générales des Coléoptères», tomo I, pág. 217, daba a conocer su Cymindis onychina. Unos años más tarde, en 1837, otro autor francés, Rambur, describió en su «Faune de l'Andalousie» dos nuevas especies, ibéricas también y que incluyó, como Dejean, en el género Cymindis : C. cordata (tomo I, pág. 16, fig. 6) y el C. truncata (tomo I, pág. 17, fig. 5) de Sierra Nevada y Gibraltar, respectivamente. A éstos siguió el descubrimiento en .Argelia del C. dilaticollis, descrito por Lucas en su «Exploration Scientifique de PAlgérie», pág. 12, pl. I, fig. 17. En 1866 Vuillefroy dió a conocer su C. minima, descrito sobre un ejemplar único capturado en Granada, y que fué publicado en los «Annales de la Société Entomologique de France» 4, VI, 1866, pág. 345. Estos dos últimos autores siguieron el camino de los anteriores, y englobaron sus especies entre los Cymindis.
