Dendrímeros derivados de pirazol: cristales líquidos y geles

Abstract

Los cristales líquidos son materiales con un elevado control de la arquitectura supramolecular. Cabe destacar el diseño de cristales líquidos columnares para aplicaciones en electrónica orgánica y sensores. Por otro lado, los dendrímeros cristal líquido o dendromesógenos combinan una estructura ordenada y propiedades mesógenas. Asimismo son una vía para la obtención de geles supramoleculares, donde se aprovecha la capacidad de las moléculas para agregarse asistidas por un disolvente. Las moléculas constituyentes, gelificante, se autoensamblan en agregados fibrilares que pueden presentar orden adicional de tipo cristalino o cristal líquido. Debido a la versatilidad del anillo del pirazol para interactuar mediante enlaces de hidrógeno, nuestro interés se ha centrado en el diseño, preparación y estudio de dendrones con 4-aril-3,5-dimetil-1H-pirazol en el punto focal, con el objeto de inducir organizaciones supramoleculares cristal líquido. Los dendrones de pirazol presentan fases cristal líquido de tipo columnar. Además, se ha observado que dan lugar a agregados en disolución y geles supramoleculares. Las propiedades mesógenas se han estudiado por microscopía óptica de luz polarizada, DSC y difracción de rayos X. Las propiedades ópticas se han evaluado por espectroscopía de absorción UV-Vis y fluorescencia. Además, se ha estudiado la morfología de los organogeles mediante microscopias electrónicas.
