Abstract

La presencia en bibliotecas españolas de libros extranjeros, tanto de autores foráneos como de textos editados fuera de nuestro país, es una prueba de las relaciones culturales entre las distintas potencias europeas del momento. En este articulo se analiza la presencia de libros extranjeros en una treintena de bibliotecas privadas españolas del siglo XVIII, entre las que se encuentran algunas figuras notables de la Ilustración y de la Ciencia española, individuos de la nobleza, altos cargos de la administración, miembros del clero, artistas e incluso algunos burgueses.
