Abstract

Las representaciones de la reina Isabel —y del rey Fernando— tanto las debidas a las crónicas del reinado como las que se produjeron posteriormente, nos acercan a los ideales de feminidad y de masculinidad propios de los tiempos en que se escriben los textos. La comparación permite comprender las diferencias, la moral y las virtudes políticas que eran valoradas y exigidas de manera distinta en el rey y la reina y el modo en que el poder que, normalmente, se problematiza en las mujeres, se concede y se justifica en el caso de la reina Isabel. Y por último se trata del modo en que la imagen de la reina se utiliza en la literatura escrita para la educación de las mujeres, como modelo y espejo de las mujeres.
