Abstract

Minucioso informe confidencial enviado desde la corte francesa a la reina María Luisa de Orleáns, a través del cual se puede vislumbrar la idea que de la Monarquía hispana y de sus principales protagonistas políticos tenía la diplomacia gala. De su lectura y de los comentarios podemos conocer la concepción que en el pais vecino tenían sus dirigentes sobre el rey Carlos II, sus ministros y gobernantes, y las instituciones más representativas. Igualmente permite una clarificación, mediante los numerosos consejos, advertencias y sugerencias transmitidos a la joven reina, respecto a los intereses del Rey Cristianísimo y sus propuestas de actuación, tanto en España como en el exterior.
