[EN] The influence of temperature on juvenile emergence of two Spanish pathotypes of Heterodera avenae, Ha81 and Ha22, from different Mediterranean climatic regions, has been studied in the laboratory. For each pathotype nine series, each made up of sixty cysts, were distributed as follows: at 20°, 15°, 10° and 5° for the six months of the experiment; and at 20° and at 15° for one month and then transferred to 15°, 10° and 5°, and to 10° and 5° respectively for the remaining five. Cysts moved from 20° to 10° showed the most juvenile emergence of all the series for both pathotypes, although for Ha22 this was similar to the emergence at constant 10°. At higher temperatures (20°, 15° and from 20° to 15°) a higher percentage of Ha81 juveniles emerged than of Ha22, which comes from a colder region and emerged better at lower temperatures. Ha22 contains more juveniles per cyst, displays in general a higher juvenile emergence and its temperature requirements are less strict than those of Ha81.
