Abstract

[EN]: The mineralogical composition of the clay fraction of the three profiles, order inceptisol (one Lithic Xerochrept and two Typic Xerochrept) and three alfisols profiles, located nearby the Sierra of Huelva have bee studied. In soils inceptisols order the main components are illite and kaolinite (Lithic Xerochrept) also accompanied of vermiculite in B horizon. In soils Typic Xerochrept the main components are the same. Illite mineral is altered towards illite-vermiculite interestratificated, vermiculite and aluminium-vermiculite: the proportion of these minerals of alteration increases with depth. The evolution mica-illite-vermiculite illite interestratified-alumina vermiculite is suggested. On two of alfisols soils a mineralogical change is found length wise down the profile. Both soils are constituted by illite, kaolinite and something of vermiculite, with predominance of the firsth in the superior horizon; contrariously kaolinite is the main component in the inferior horizon. It's posible the disposition of one soil over other older. The remaining alfisol profile is principally composed by kaolinite of which its percentage is increased when descending the profile.
