Tobacco Thrips (Thrips tabaci Lind.) belongs to the family Thripidae Uzel, suborder Terebrantia Hai., Thysanoptera, and is known in literature as one of the most im portant tobacco pests. Occuring in various countries of Europe, America and Australia, Tobacco Thrips has a particularly great economic importance in Crimea, i. e. the area where best kinds of Russian tobacco are grown.
