[EN]The paper developed below is intended to give a first approximation of the loss of "natural value" due to forest fires during the period between 2006 and 2013 in the area of Serra de Tamuntana in the island of Mallorca (Spain, Western Mediterranean). The "natural value" has been calculated according to the adaptation of the method of Ecosystem Service Value (ESV) with the land uses of the area of study (Serra de Tramuntana) using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Forest fires, despite being a part of the implicit evolution of mediterranean ecosystems are one of the worst threats when its frequency increases and when they don't have a natural origin (major part of them are caused by the action and recklessness of human activity). Facing the strong media impact of forest fires on areas of interest (both natural and urban) and the importance (in terms of affected extension, media coverage and media delivery extinction), forest fire occurred in late July 2013 that affected the SW of the Serra de Tramuntana, has raised the necessity to develop an exercise of economic loss of natural value due to forest fires. According to the above exposed, this study aims to provide a potential loss and recovery of the natural values of the habitat I ecosystems in monetary terms (€) understood by the entire population. [CA]El treball que es desenvolupa a continuació pretén donar una primera aproximado de la pèrdua del "valor natural" per incendis forestals dins del període compres entre 2006 i 2013 a l'àmbit de la Serra de Tramuntana de l'illa de Mallorca (Mediterrània Occidental). El "valor natural" s'ha calculat d'acord amb l'adaptació del mètode de Transferencia de Valor (Valoració dels Serveis dels Escosistemes, VSE) als usos del sòl de l'àmbit de la Serra de Tramuntana mitjancant l'ús de Sistemes d'Informació Geogràfiques (SIGs). Els incendis forestals, malgrat formar part de l'evolució implícita dels ecosistemes mediterranis són una de les pitjors amenaces quan la frequència d'aquests s'accentua i, a més a més, no són d'origen natural (en la majoria dels casos induits per accions i imprudències d'origen humà). La forta repercussió mediàtica dels incendis sobre algunes àrees d'interès (tant naturals com urbanes) i la importancia (extensió afectada, cobertura mediática i desplegament de mitjans) de l'incendi de l'estiu del 2013 que afectà el SW de la Serra de Tramunatana ha motivat la necessitat de realitzar un assaig de quantificació de la pèrdua econòmica del valor natural degut a incendis forestals. D'acord amb l'exposat, aquest estudi pretén donar una idea del potencial de pèrdua i recuperació dels valors naturals dels hàbitats/ecosistemes en termes monetaris (€) entesos pel public en general.
