Abstract

HISPANA (http://hispana.mcu.es) es un elemento destacado del llamado Ecosistema del Patrimonio Digital Europeo, el cual se refiere al resultado de una estrategia a nivel europeo para estandarizar procedimientos y técnicas de digitalización de su patrimonio cultural y su puesta a disposición en línea. Esta estrategia se inicia con la Recomendación de la CE sobre la digitalización y la accesibilidad en línea del material cultural y la conservación digital (Comisión Europea, 2006). HISPANA nace ese mismo año en marzo de 2006 como ROAI, directorio recolector de recursos digitales.
