Abstract

[GL] O Castro Pequeno de Neixón (Boiro, A Coruña) é un xacemento arqueolóxico emblemático na historia da Arqueoloxía galega e un dos poboados da 1ª Idade do Ferro máis importantes para comprendermos o xurdimento da paisaxe fortificada en Galicia. Os resultados das continuadas in-tervencións arqueolóxicas desenvoltas ao longo da década de 1970 e comezos de 1980 apenas se deron a coñecer á comunidade científica e á sociedade en xeral. En 2008 retomamos a escavación arqueolóxica deste castro dentro do noso proxecto arqueolóxico dos castros de Neixón (2003-2008). A presente comunicación fornece unha interpretación global do sitio partindo dos resultados da campaña de 2008.

[EN] O Castro Pequeno de Neixón (Boiro, A Coruña) is a ve ry important archaeological site into the histo- ry of galician Archaeology. In this sense, it is one of the main hillforts to know the emergence of fortified landscape during the first Iron Age. Unfortunately the publi cation record of excavations in the 70’s and 80’s at this site is rather poor. In 2008 Laboratory of Heritage (National Research Council) take up again the research thanks to the international fieldwork project of Neixón (2003-2008). In this paper we show the preliminary results of our archaeological excavation at this site.

Esta investigación se enmarca en el proyecto Xeoarqueoloxía e reconstrución paleoambiental. Metodoloxía aplicada a contextos arqueolóxico-culturais dirigido por Manuela Costa Casais (LAPA, CSIC). Programa sectorial de investigación aplicada, Peme I+D e I+D Suma do Plan Galego de Investigación, Desenvolvemento e Innovación Tecnolóxica (Incite) correspondiente al programa sectorial de Sociedade e Cultura (SEC). Código de proyecto: 09SEC015606PR.
