[ES] A fin de estudiar el cultivo del almendro en terrenos no aptos para los patrones almendro y melocotonero se plantearon ensayos en vivero utilizando como patrones ciruelos mirobolanes y marianas, ciruelos del grupo P. domestica e híbridos almendro X melocotonero. Se incluyeron en los ensayos las tres principales variedades españolas: Desmayo Largueta) Destlzayo Rojo y Marcona) y algunas variedades extranjeras. Los patrones mirobolanes y marianas ensayados han producido, en general, síntomas de decaimiento en las variedades españolas. Se discute la sintomatología observada en relación con el problema de la incompatibilidad entre patrón e injerto. Entre los patrones elel grupo P. domestica ensayados destaca el buen comportamiento de clones de Pollizo de Murcia. Los híbridos de almendro X melocotonero ensayados han tenido buen comportamiento y han inducido mayor vigor en las variedades injertaelas que los patrones ciruelo. Con algunas de las combinaciones que tuvieron mejor comportamiento en los ensayos en vivero se plantearon ensayos en vergel que permitirán emitir un juicio sobre el valor agronómico de los distintos patrones ensayados.

[EN] In order to study the almond culture in soils no! suitable for almond and peach rootstocks, nursery trials were conducted with other rootstocks, namely myrobolan, and marianna plums, P. domestica group plums and peach-almond hybrids. The three most important Spanish cultivars, Desmayo Largueta, Desmayo Rojo and Marcona, and some foreign cultivars were tested. The myrobolans and mariannas have produced, in general, decline symptoms in the Spanish cultivars. The observed symptomatology is discussed in relation with the problem of rootstock-scion incompatibility. The clones of Pollizo de Murcia, among the P. domestica group rootstocks, showed a remarcab1e good behaviour. The peach-almond hybrids had a good behaviour and have induced a higher vigour on the grafted scions than the plum rootstocks. Orchard tríals have been designed with some of the best combinatÍons aiming to ascertain their practical value.
