Bioactive glasses and scaffolds, preparation methods and uses thereof

Abstract

[EN] The invention relates to bio-active glasses and the uses thereof, said glasses comprising boron oxide, and having a substitution of bonds B-0 in the structure due to the formation of bonds B-N caused by nitriding. The glasses preferably also comprise other oxides, such as those included, and preferably ordered according to their molar percentage and from largest to smallest, in the sequence SiO2 > CaO > Na2O > K2O > B2O3 > P2O5. The invention also relates to methods for producing nitrided bio-active glasses, comprising: the mixing of glass powders containing boron oxide and additional oxides where appropriate; and the nitriding of said mixture. The invention further relates to nitrided scaffolds comprising said bio-active glasses, to preparation methods thereof, and to uses thereof.
