Abstract

El presente trabajo consiste en un levantamiento edafológico y estudio geomorfológico, de un sector de la Sierra Norte de Sevilla, como parte aplicada del XV Curso de Edafológía y Biología Vegetal. Se ha escogido la zona mencionada, ya que presenta una hetereogeneidad de caracteres geológicos, edafológicos y morfológicos, como resultado de la unión intensiva de factores tectónicos, erosivos y litológicos, a los cuales se suma la presencia de un clima mediterráneo que juega un papel muy importante en la génesis y desarrollo de los suelos. De acuerdo con estas consideraciones, este estudio servirá de alguna manera como catálogo de las posibles unidades taxonómicas a encontrar en la Sierra Norte con vistas a una continuación del trabajo ampliado, hasta completar la totalidad de la Sierra Morena, perteneciente a la Provincia de Sevilla. El objetivo, por tanto, del trabajo es realizar la caracterización de los suelos de la zona con el levantamiento de los mismos a nivel de reconocimiento (escala 1/100.000) .
