Abstract

Luciano García Lorenzo apunta como notas distintivas del teatro menor las siguientes: la corta extensión, su inferior calidad en cuanto a la poca trascendencia de los temas tratados y a la pobreza psicológica de los personajes, su carácter cómico, la acción única, el único escenario, la coincidencia entre el tiempo dramático y el tiempo del espectador y el suponer una actividad secundaria para los autores dentro de su producción teatral.

Ponencia presentada en "El teatro menor a partir del siglo XVI", celebrado en la Casa de Velázquez de Madrid los días 20, 21 y 22 de mayo de 1982.
