Caracterización molecular y funcional de la proteína AtBRM de Arabidopsis thaliana

Abstract

Las proteínas de la familia SWL2/SNF2 han sido ampliamente estudiadas en diferentes organismos eucariotas. Aunque en los últimos años algunas de estas proteínas han empezado a ser objeto de estudio en plantas, el conocimiento que se tiene en este organismo sobre los componentes de esta familia y, en general, sobre la remodelación de la cromatina es muy reducido. Por ello, en nuestro grupo nos hemos planteado el análisis de alguno de los componentes de esta familia y su papel en la regulación de la expresión génica. El objetivo principal de este trabajo ha sido la caracterización de la proteína AtBRM, una de las proteínas de familia SWL2/SNF2 de A. thaliana, y su participación en la regulación del desarrollo de la planta. Esta tesis se ha centrado, para ello, en los siguientes aspectos: 1. Análisis del patrón de expresión de gen AtBRM. 2. Caracterización de uno de los dominios de la proteína AtBRM. 3. Estudio de los fenotipos de plantas con niveles reducidos en la expresión AtBRM. 4. Análisis de la regulación de la expresión de varios genes por AtBRM. Parte de los resultados obtenidos durante esta tesis han sido publicados en la revista Developmení y se han presentando en diversas comunicaciones a congresos nacionales e internacionales.
