Abstract

[En] Results of physico-chemical, chemical and mineralogical analyses are given of rubificated slope deposits in the meridional sector of the Sierra de Ayllón. These results are compared with data on subactual deposits in the same zone. Extensive weathering is observed, with strong rubefaction, as is shown by the ratios between free Fe and total Fe. A degradation of chloritic minerals is likewise observed. The rubefacted deposits were formed from weathered paleozoic rocks, after the formation of raña, during the first stages of fluvial incision. These deposits therefore bear some relationship to the genesis of typical soils on raña, indicating similar climatic conditions.
