Abstract

[EN]We quote for the first time as alien plant in the Iberian Peninsula and in Europe a variety of Opuntia ficus-indica. This variety has morphological characteristics similar to the horticultural variety "Vertex", which was introduced to the market during the late 19th century and early 20th century by the American horticulturist Luther Burbank.
