Manzanas "Starking Delicious" y "New Starking" tratadas con etoxiquina 72 % (350 ml./100 l.) y paclobutrazol (2 g. m.a. / árbol) respectivamente, fueron colocadas en cámara frigor1fica con bajo nivel de etileno ( < 6 µl / l ). Los niveles de acidez y dureza permanecieron prácticamente constantes, sin embargo se observó una ligera disminución en el contenido de sólidos solubles en cv. "Starking Delicious" tratadas con etoxiquina. El porcentaje de escaldado observado disminuye considerablemente en las manzanas tratadas, aunque de forma más evidente en cv. "Starking Delicious" tratadas con etoxiquina.
